As Christmas approaches, Baume & Mercier upholds tradition, remaining a House of celebration, creating timepieces which accompany the important occasions in people’s lives. It is always there in festive moments of generosity that appeal to the imagination. To give the gift of a watch is to give an object of desire, to provide a loved one with a special companion.

A Baume & Mercier watch is always the ideal choice because it elegantly combines Swiss watchmaking savoir-faire with beautiful craftsmanship and a bold, innovative design with precise lines and harmonious colors and materials. Each of the House collections carries forth this DNA, where technical excellence meets unbridled creativity. This watchmaking approach, designed to conjure emotions, is engineered in the service of clients: it is accessible to all, and it spans a very great variety of styles and models so that there is truly something for everyone.

So which Baume & Mercier watch to give to whom for Christmas?

The RIVIERA Collection is designed for watchmaking aficionados who like combining sportiness with elegance, and who love watches that express that versatility in a bold way. Challenging codes when it was created in 1973, with a dodecagonal bezel and case – twelve sides reflecting the twelve hours on the dial –, it represents the designer watch spirit that is so important to Baume & Mercier, daring to assert an innovative, visually remarkable aesthetic. This approach has brought success to the House, and has been carried forward throughout its contemporary variations in steel, in four different diameters, with “Swiss-made” self-winding or quartz movements, and with interchangeable straps. With abundant expressiveness, the Baumatic manufacture movement by Baume & Mercier that powers certain models from the collection is recognized for its chronometric precision, its resistance to everyday magnetic fields, and its 120-hour (5-day) power reserve. It promises durability and robustness.
